    Pakistani Daal Recipes

'Daal' (also spelt 'Dal) is the Urdu word for lentils, and encompasses everything from red split lentils, used in Tadka Dal, to split chickpeas, used in Dal Gosht. In Pakistani cuisine, Dal can be cooked as a stand-alone, to be served with rice or roti, or can be cooked with chicken or meat.
