Easy Bhuna Chana Masala – Chickpea Curry
  • 1cup/tin chickpeas
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 2.5tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • 0.5tsp turmeric
  • 0.75tsp coriander powder
  • 0.5tsp whole cumin seeds
  • 0.5tsp cumin powder
  • 2tsp saltor to taste
  • 0.5cup oil
  • 2 boiled eggsoptional
  1. Add all the ingredients except the boiled eggs into a pan with a splash of water. Cover and turn the heat to low for 30-40 minutes
  2. Uncover the pan and if there is moisture in the pot (there probably will be) then turn the heat to high and begin to dry out the curry, stirring at all times (bhoon it) until the curry is dry
  3. Garnish with sliced boiled eggs and serve with chapatti, rice or paratha.
